Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
“To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ.”
Fathers Club Honors Vinny Nascone at Annual Car Raffle & Pirate Treasure Auction
The Fathers Club hosted their annual Car Raffle & Pirate Treasure Auction on Saturday, April 12th, where they honored Vincent "Vinny" Nascone (P '08, P'10, P'13, P'20) with the Art Williams Award...
Nascone has been a devoted member of the Seton Hall Prep community for nearly two decades, embodying the spirit of service, humility, and generosity that defines the Fathers Club. A proud husband to SHP Administrative AssistantPatty for 41 years and father of five—four of whom are SHP graduates (Vincent ’08, Chris ’10, Thomas ’13, and Peter ’20)—Vinny’s legacy at The Prep is one of quiet dedication and heartfelt involvement.
Since 2017, Vinny has been an invaluable behind-the-scenes volunteer with the SHP Admission Office, supporting countless Open Houses, Candidates Days, and testing events. Whether welcoming prospective families, brewing coffee, or inflating thousands of balloons, Vinny’s presence has been a warm and reliable constant.
A familiar and beloved face at home games, he is affectionately known as “Vinny Snowcones” for his role in serving fans at the Kelly Athletic Complex. In addition to his game-day service, he actively contributes to the Fathers Club by chairing the monthly 50/50 raffle and assisting wherever needed.
Beyond Seton Hall Prep, Vinny’s lifelong commitment to service includes years of volunteering with St. Rose of Lima Academy and Parish, Boy Scout Troop 17, and, more recently, with the American Red Cross and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center following his retirement from a 26-year career in IT at Bayer Corporation.
In recognition of his tireless efforts, humility, and deep love for the SHP community, Vincent Nascone is the deserving recipient of the 2025 Art Williams Award, presented this year at the Fathers Club Car Raffle & Pirate Treasure Auction.
