Main Campus

Seton Hall Prep's main campus (120 Northfield Avenue, West Orange, NJ 07052) sits at the base of "First Mountain" on Northfield Avenue accessible under a mile from Rt. 280 in both directions. Our 11 acre main campus is home to all academic classes, the arts department, and a handful of athletics programs. The three-story building includes 82 classrooms, 12 administrative offices, Chapel of St. Michael the Archangel, state-of-the-art Murphy Science wing, a turf multipurpose athletic field, varsity gymnasium, wrestling room, weight room, library, auditorium, band room, and multiple courtyards. In 2025, two new classrooms are set to be constructed in addition to refacing the schools Northfield gymnasium entrance.

Kelly Athletic Complex

Seton Hall Prep's Kelly Athletic Complex is located a mile up the hill from the school's main campus and is home to the majority of The Prep's athletic teams in the fall and spring. The 44-acre oasis has stunning New York City views in a relaxing park-like setting. 

Brendan P. Tevlin Memorial Field
In memory of Brendan P. Tevlin '13, the main stadium field hosts football, soccer, lacrosse, and track & field events, and has a capacity for 1500 spectators.

Porcello Field
Made possible by the generosity of former Major League pitcher, World Series Champion, and Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello '07, Porcello Field hosts the varsity baseball team featuring FieldTurf, home and away dugouts, bullpens, a press box, and batting cages. 

Finney Family Tennis Courts
Five tennis courts allow for ample play at the KAC. A set of three sits at the heart of the complex, where an additional two are laid back-to-back beyond the outfield fence of Porcello Field.

Weight Room
Although due to be renovated and relocated in 2025, the current weight room sits closest to the 700 Prospect entrance. A new health and wellness center is planned to be finished by September 2026.

Murray Fieldhouse, Tony Esposito Jr. Pirates Cove, Maintenance Bay
Permanent structures at the KAC include the Murray Fieldhouse, Esposito Pirates Cove, and the Maintenance Bay. Murray Fieldhouse holds two large locker rooms with shower facilities, two coaches rooms, the Athletic Trainers Room, and an upstairs area for storage. Esposito Pirates Cove is the concession hub of the KAC where food is prepared and sold for home contests. The cove features a grill area, and bathrooms for spectators. The Maintenance Bay includes three garage door storage spaces allowing for constant upkeep of the 44 acre facility.

G. Kelly Martin '77 JV Baseball Field
The only grass baseball field at the KAC is the G. Kelly Martin '77 JV Baseball Field with batting cages, dugouts, and elevated sightlines.

Additional Spaces
Also included at the Kelly Athletic Complex is a grass JV soccer field, a turfed multipurpose 60x40 yard space, and grass practice surface for outdoor throwing events approximately measuring 110x70 yards.

Kelly Athletic Complex (KAC)

Busing

Seton Hall Prep provides busing service to limited areas in Union, Essex and Passaic Counties. Currently, both the Maplewood/South Orange and Hanover Park Regional Districts provide no cost busing for those students who attend the school.

Public Transportation

Seton Hall Prep uses the NJ Transit train station at Mountain Station in South Orange for departures and arrivals. The school offers, at an additional cost, a shuttle bus service to and from the station. The shuttle brings the students from the train at 8:25AM and departs the school at 2:50, 3:30 and 5:45PM.

The NJ Transit Bus Routes, 71 and 73 have stops on Northfield Avenue in front of the school.
