Rev. Laurence T. Murphy '35

A Naval Academy graduate who became a Maryknoll Missionary, and subsequently the 16th President of Seton Hall University. He spent ten years in Washington, D.C. in a variety of influential positions with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, and on State Department commissions. He was instrumental in forging a historic link between Seton Hall University and China in 1979.
