Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
“To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ.”
Seton Hall Prep Soccer Head Coach Marty Berman H'05 has been named the United States Soccer Coaches Association's private/parochial boys National Coach of the Year for 2023. Marty's Pirates finished No. 1 in NJ upon capturing their third NJSIAA Non-Public A State Title in the past four attempts.
"We are proud of our soccer program and the incredible heights Marty and his staff has brought it to," commented Athletic Director, Larry Baggitt H'18. "He has had a storied career, phenomenal teams and players, and this award is a perfect recognition of all that he has accomplished at The Prep."
Coach Berman, who now has 551 all-time wins, will be honored at the United Soccer Coaches Awards Banquet on Jan. 12, 2024, at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel in Anaheim, Calif. in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
